Lovey's rant

Hey all,
Hope you all had a nice Easter and got sick barrels, bunnies and eggs. Our March comp was another success with all our grommies ripping up some nice waves that were on offer. Some solid swell would be nice, Huey, for our May comp.

What a busy month April is, our next fun weekend activity is Tubes For Googs. It's on next weekend, so get going and get your entries in for a great charity event. We actually have a junior tag team comp on the same Sunday as the Googs comp so if you're in Sydney on Sunday 18th April, come on down to Avalon Beach and give the boys some support.

Our next comp is pushed back to May 2nd. Theres a bash at the Bowlo on April 30. I'll tell you more later. Our annual weekend away to Treachery is on the 14, 15 and 16th of May. Most of the crew head up early on Friday morning to make the most of the weekend, but you can cruise up any time you like. Just stop at the caretakers office and say you're with us, pay your dosh and your in. If you have some spare fire wood, chuck it in. We set up our BBQs and put on a free feed of sausages on the saturday night. You will need to supply and cook your own meals if you come up for Friday night. The site is a bit primitive, so it pays to bring water and food. No shops within 20–30 min drive.

No Ship mega raffle

The No Ship Action Group are having a fundraising raffle night at the Avoca Bowlo on April 30th to raise funds for the legal battle.

How it works is, a ticket costs $50 and there are heaps of great prizes on offer. You have a chance in each draw so if there are 30 prizes you have 30 chances to be drawn out. Even if you win a prize you go back into the next draw.

The bowling club has given us the band room so even if you miss out on a ticket come along and enjoy the band and the company. There are only 300 tickets on sale so email or text me to put one away for you.
Cheers, Lovey
