Lovey's ramblings

Ho ho ho,
Well boys and girls, another successful year passes and I would like to thank our committee for all their work behind the scenes. The sort of stuff that's got to be done to run this club, but which rarely gets them any thanks. Well, from all of us… thanks.

We have a few new committee members this year. I'd like to thank Grant Fuller for all the work he's put in to this club over the last few years. Cheers mate. Same goes to Ronnie Smith, who is now taking a rest from gear steward and BBQ duties. I'd like to know how many sausages he's cooked for this club over the years. Legend. Our secretary Micky A. is having a break to sell dresses with Penny, best of luck with that mate. So, once again, cheers boys for all your hard work.

That makes up our for 2010. This year we're trying to involve more of our young guys in the running of the club; so step up and learn the ropes, cause we're not here forever.

I've got a few ideas for the next year: a social members section for guys and girls who want to be a member but maybe not to surf, just cheer us on; club champion days; tag team days; and touch footy games throughout Winter. Let me know any thoughts you guys have. Also, send through any t–shirt designs for 2010 via email or give them to a committee member on CD/DVD/USB–stick etc.
